Circus Arts!

Circus Arts, to sum it up ...it's harder then it looks! Being in the Physical Education major and a high school athlete I am used to having success in traditional sports such as basketball, football, baseball, and volleyball, but circus arts is a totally different ball game! Everything in this class I can honestly say I am a 1st timer except for messing around with the Diabolo's (pictured to the right) at last years peak conference held at Ellensburg High School. The summary of this class for me so far has been frustrating! What has come easiest was the flower sticks which are not that difficult in comparison to the other arts. The diabolo is probably the most fun because it is still very much challenging but it is more entertaining and flashy! I can currently only do 3 tricks which are the whip, throw and catch, and the trampoline. I did the the trampoline for the 1st time today and I have to say when you are able to get a trick down it is a great feeling! Circus arts calls for a lot of creativity which I think I got the imagination for just not exactly the skills to back it yet! The other arts will need much more practicing such as unicycling and juggling.....much more practicing!!!
